The three-in-a-row classic, with a CPU that never blunders on Hard.
About Tic Tac Toe
The pencil-and-paper standard, ready in one tap. Take the Xs against a computer opponent with two moods: Easy makes human mistakes, Hard plays the mathematically perfect game. Wins, ties and losses are all counted, so you can chase a winning record — or just try to prove that Hard mode can be beaten. (It can't. But the ties feel good.) Free to play in your browser — no download, no sign-up.
How to Play
Tap a square to place your ✕. Get three in a row across, down or diagonally. Switch Easy/Hard in the top bar. Score is kept across rounds.
Tips & Strategy
On an empty board, the centre is the strongest square — it sits in four winning lines. Corners are next best with three lines each; edges only touch two.
Against Hard, a perfect game always ends in a tie: open in the centre or a corner, block every threat, and never give the CPU a double attack.
The classic trap to set (and to avoid) is the fork — two winning threats at once. Watch for positions where one move creates two lines of two.
On Easy, take corners aggressively: two corners plus the centre creates fork chances the random-ish CPU often misses.
