More than two thousand years old and still one of the deepest games ever devised. You and the computer take turns placing black and white stones on the crossing points of the board, and the stones never move. Surround an enemy group so it has no empty neighbours left and it is captured and lifted off. At the end, you score for your stones on the board plus the empty points you have walled in. Start on the friendly 9×9 board or stretch out on 13×13, pick Easy, Normal or Hard, and open the built-in guide any time for a gentle refresher on the rules. How to Play
Take turns placing a stone on any empty crossing point. Stones never move. A group with no empty points beside it is captured. No suicide moves, and no retaking a single stone straight back (ko). Two passes in a row end the game: tap dead groups, then confirm. Stones plus surrounded points score; White gets 6.5 bonus points.
