Drag the seven classic pieces into a new silhouette each level, turning and flipping until it fits.
Quick start
Drag pieces from the tray below up into the silhouette. Tap a piece to turn it 45 degrees. The parallelogram flips over with a double-tap. A piece clicks in when it is near a matching spot and turned the right way. Fill the outline with all seven pieces to finish. Hint lights up where one piece belongs.

About this game
The tangram has entertained puzzlers for a couple of centuries: seven simple shapes cut from a single square, namely two large triangles, a medium one, two small ones, a square and a slanted parallelogram. Each level shows a dark silhouette made from all seven pieces, and your job is to rebuild it. Drag a piece into the outline and it clicks into place when it sits in the right spot at the right angle. Every shape is assembled from the real set, so each one can definitely be solved, and a new shape is always waiting. Free to play in your browser, with no download and no sign-up.
Family tips
Place the two large triangles first. Between them they cover half the area, and once they are in, the leftover gaps usually make the smaller pieces' homes obvious. Faint dashed lines inside the silhouette mark the spots still waiting for a piece, which is a gentle nudge when you are stuck.
Get the angle right before you drag. A piece only clicks in when it is turned to match its spot, so study the gap's corners first: a sharp point wants a triangle tip, while a square corner could take the square or the right angle of a triangle.
The parallelogram trips most people up because it comes in a left-handed and a right-handed version. If it looks right but won't settle, double-tap to flip it. Matching pieces are interchangeable, so either large triangle fits either large slot, and you can lift any piece back out to try another arrangement.
