Slide your little ship along the bottom and let it fire away as wave after wave of aliens marches down.
Quick start
Move the pointer or drag your finger across the play area to slide the ship. On a keyboard, tap the left and right arrows, or A and D, to shuffle sideways. Your ship fires automatically; each alien hit is worth 10 points. A bomb hit costs one of three lives, and aliens reaching the bottom end the game.

About this game
Here is a retro shooter anyone can pick up in seconds. Thirty-two cheery aliens line up in four rows and march side to side, stepping lower every time they reach an edge and dropping bombs as they go. Your ship sits at the bottom and fires all by itself; your only job is to slide it into position and dodge whatever falls. Each alien is worth ten points. Clear the screen and a quicker wave arrives that bombs more often. You have three lives, and if the aliens creep too close to the ground, the game ends at once. Free to play in your browser, with no download and no sign-up.
Family tips
Thin out the edge columns first. The formation only turns around when an alien reaches the side of the screen, so knocking out the outer columns gives the whole group further to travel before it steps down, which buys you time.
The marchers speed up as their numbers shrink, so the last few aliens of every wave are the trickiest. Keep firing under them instead of chasing bombs across the screen, and move away only when a bomb is truly heading your way.
Each new wave moves and bombs faster than the one before, and your three lives never refill. Playing patiently in the early waves, with small sideways steps under the nearest column, pays off when things get hectic later.
