Math Sprint

Quick sums against the clock, three ways to play, and a combo that rewards a steady run.

Quick start

Pick Sprint, Zen or Streak from the menu. Tap the right number among the four options, or press keys 1 to 4. A right answer scores 10 points plus up to 8 more for answering within three seconds. Every four correct in a row raises the combo multiplier, up to five times. A wrong answer resets it.

About this game

Remember the times-table races at the back of the classroom? This is that, with fewer pencils. A sum appears, four answers sit underneath, and you tap the right one as fast as you can. Early questions are friendly single-digit additions, then come two-digit adding and taking away, times tables up to twelve, and finally missing numbers and simple percentages. Choose Sprint for a sixty-second dash, Zen for no clock and three hearts, or Streak, where one slip ends the run. Each mode keeps its own best score. Free to play in your browser, with no download and no sign-up.

Family tips

Speed and accuracy pull against each other here, and accuracy usually wins. The speed bonus is at most 8 points, but the combo multiplier can lift every answer up to five times, and one wrong tap drops it straight back to the start. A calm, correct answer beats a rushed guess almost every time.

Use the wrong answers as clues. The decoys are usually near misses: off by one, off by ten, or with the digits swapped. Check the last digit first (7 times 8 must end in 6), and you can often throw out two choices before you finish the sum in your head.

In Sprint the questions climb in difficulty the longer you go, so a fast start buys you more time for the trickier percentages and missing numbers later. In Streak, slow down a touch on the harder sums; there is no clock, only the risk of a slip.
